		<description>Great post. Wondering myself if a self-taught web designer in his 40s should begin learning yet another platform. Never had a formal programming class in the past, but built my first database application in Hypercard after a 36-hour non-stop learning binge. Later came Director, then Flash. I could figure out how to get it to work, just not so good at terms. 

Still not sure how much I know, so starting with the basics. Thanks for sharing.</description>
